Economic Contribution A 2018 independent assessment by ACIL Allen Consulting estimated the economic contribution to Australian real GDP of Crown’s Australian resorts is up to $4.4 billion, with Crown Melbourne contributing up to $3.2 billion and Crown Perth contributing up to $1.2 billion. The direct and indirect full time employment impact was estimated to be up to 25,000 people associated with Crown’s Australian resorts, with up to 16,500 people at Crown Melbourne and up to 8,500 at Crown Perth. Tax Contribution Crown continues to be a significant tax payer, incurring over $650 million in taxes to all levels of government in Australia in the 2019 financial year, representing approximately two-thirds of Crown’s pre-tax profits. Commitment to Australian Businesses Crown, through its procurement activities, places significant importance on supporting Australian businesses, with over 90% of all spend and vendor relationships remaining in Australia. Over $900 million is spent annually with approximately 4,000 local businesses in Victoria and Western Australia, supporting an ecosystem of indirect jobs. Crown’s Capital Expenditure Program Crown has announced expected capital expenditure in the period from FY15 to FY22 of almost $4 billion in maintaining, improving and expanding its facilities in Melbourne and Perth and in the development of Crown Sydney.
